If your club requires the loan of a canoe for the event
please fill out the form on the entry form section of
this website and return it to the Event Administrators
before 30 March 2006.
Likewise if your club has any canoes that are available
for loan over the weekend and would like to earn some
money for its rental, please contact the Race Administrators
and we' will hook you up with a crew looking for a canoe.
OC6 Canoes
Mirage, Classic, Force Five, Bradley, Anderson and other
such canoes that have been inspected, approved and meet
all specifications by AOCRA (Australian Outrigger Canoe
Racing Association) may be raced in any event at the 2006
Powerade Hamilton Island Cup, including the 42km marathon.

All canoe accessories, including seats, ama, iakos and
rigging shall be standardized. Paddlers must sit on seats,
and paddles shall have only one blade, and this may be
made from any material. All canoes must carry two (2)
bailers, a spare paddle, extra fresh water and a towing
rig.
Canoe inspection & registration will be carried out
prior to racing, as well as random inspections over the
event weekend. Canoes must not be altered in any way after
inspection and registration. The canoes of the first three
place getters in any final/event may be weighed and inspected
directly after the completion of their event. Any team
racing a canoe not meeting any of the above specifications
will be disqualified from that event and will not receive
any medals, trophies or prize money, nor be permitted
to compete in another event on Hamilton Island.
