It's been 25 years since that first 'round
the island' race. Now, the Powerade Hamilton Island Cup
has grown into one of the world's most prestigious and popular
outrigger canoe regattas.
The 25th anniversary will be the biggest
and best yet - so we are calling on all paddlers and
past-paddlers to join us for a weekend of fun, friendship and
good times (and some gruelling paddling with the world's
best).

Don’t forget to sign up and collect your complimentary ‘Paddler
Pack’ on Wednesday 18 June from 9am to 5pm at the Bougainvillea
Marquee, Catseye Beach.
This year, all 2008 Powerade Hamilton
Island Cup competitors will receive a drink bottle,
cap, Powerade drink sample, official race programme plus
much more.
March Loud and Proud
Front Street will be a hive of activity on Thursday 19 June
as all clubs participating in this year’s Powerade
Hamilton Island Cup march through the Hamilton Island Marina
Village.
Club’s are encouraged to show their team spirit
by getting creative and a making a banner.
After the street
parade, a “mixing of the oceans” will
take place so remember to bring a bottle of your local ocean
water to the island.

in Your Ultimate 80’s
Gear
Shake out your fluro tube skirts and dust off your big haired
wigs for the ‘Ultimate 80’s’ closing party
on Sunday 22 June.
